Originally created in 2000 by Hawaii's cornerstone improv troupe Loose Screws; in 2006 Screwbuki won the prestigious Compass Players Innovation in Improv Award at Chicago Improv Festival.  Loose Screws dissolved in 2010 and On The Spot Improv has taken the mantel of Screwbuki and  now continues the tradition of Improvise Kabuki by showcasing it 3 year in a row at Improvaganza. OTS will be taking this show across the country in 2016 - 2018

"On the Spot, a troupe from Hawaii, slayed the audience with its silent-movie style improvisations, mugging and maneuvering like actors in some Mack Sennett reel, plying the physical comedy so well you'd think slapstick was a synonym for "sublime."

“On The Spot is one of the most innovative improv groups in the Country.”
